Love
*My mom is visiting from California (Filling our freezer a second time with more yummy food.)
*Joseph's "peek-a-boo" game
*Finally getting rid of that old banner
*Jon's able to hold Joseph
Not Love
*Hearing a young boy call an even younger girl a "Bitch Ho" - (The new mom in me feels like a mother to everyone now and I totally reprimanded him and had him apologize to the girl.)
*Missing Tisha on her birthday
June sucked.
The back story-
Jon started off the first week of the month at home from work on the couch complaining of stomach pain. Following doctor's orders he was not seeing any improvement and went in for a CT scan on 6th. He was immediately admitted into the hospital that night and had surgery Sunday morning (the 8th) removing all of the infected part of his lower intestine.
The good news-
Jon was not diagnosed with a chronic disease like we first feared. Now, (given this is already the end of June) he only has two short months left before full recovery and during that time he is free to return to work.
The gratitude-
Overwhelming, generous support of friends, family, and places of employment. Thank you.
The smile that lights up across Joe's face. The only thing to get me through sometimes.
The sense of humor my husband has through this whole ordeal. Keep up the high spirits sweetie, it's not too much longer.
The future-
Here's to a much brighter outlook for July.
The meantime-
Could somebody help Joseph find his golf clubs?

* Renewed membership at the gym (only I may have to sacrifice having the land line to even the cost).
* Having Wednesday nights to do as I please (like go to the gym).
* Taking Joe on my favorite walk around the pond by the gym (have to get my days in somehow!).
* Trader Joe's unsalted crunchy peanut butter (I wouldn't believe it either).
* That Jon's parents belong to their local CSA. (They are my heroes.)
* That Ben called to wish me a happy Mother's Day. (Ben? Yes, that Ben.)
* The beautiful, amazing photo album Jon made for me (and the grandmothers) for Mother's Day. (Dear God what will I do for Father's Day?)
* The cards and wishes received; Thank you.
* That our little boy is doing well (two month appointment), and eating well (he weighs 15 lbs!).
* My place of employment has (more than honored) my wish to work a few days during the summer and part-time in the fall. I am ecstatic.
* The time I spend in the early morning reading while Joe's slowly waking up. (If I can concentrate with all the grunting. : )- no seriously it's precious: the grunting, and the moment.
* And I love how much Joseph loves his changing table.
* Finding out an old friend of mine from high school is coming to town. (Jeff, not Martin.)
Especially Loving
* That Jon and I finally got our acts together and established a nighttime routine. Joe slept 7 hours in a row last night!
Found on neighbor electric firefly's page.

* Being voted to represent my Grid in District
Two Council seat, replacing my At-Large position.
* The
ultra-convenience of Walgreens’ digital photo service.
* Having this website as an outlet (even if the opportunities are rare).
* Seeing Joe coo and smile.
* The
glorious gift of dessert Jon brought home to surprise me.
edited to add: * the friendly customer service at Hot Topic in MOA (or Hugedale whichever you like to call it).
* The coupons I received from Stonyfield Farm for mailing in my yogurt cups.
Loath
* The question, "Is he sleeping through the night?"
* All the conflicting advice.
* That Joe
and I got all lathered up in sunscreen today only to have to have it cloud over
and rain.
* Letting
it bother me that there are so many chores to be done around the house.
edited to add: * The poor punctuation on Jeoporady.
Cool- The two weeks my mom spent with us and all the food she cooked and stocked into our freezer.
Not Cool- The shooting that happened near our house a few weeks ago.
Cool- The enormous neighborhood and community support surrounding it.
Way Cool- Cub is officially moving in across the street of our complex.
Not Cool- The endless construction mayhem we'll have to endure until October.
Not Cool- The completion of the townhouses next door to us meant loud hammering, pounding, sawing, vacuuming, and let's not forget: blaring radio.
Cool- Taking the light-rail to meet Jon for lunch.
Not Cool- The drooling pit bull and his mangy owner sitting inches from my newborn son's head. (Who takes a pit bull on the light-rail? And he wasn't no seeing eye dog.) (Yes, they were asked to leave the train and not a moment before I was ready to shove Joe back into the womb.)
Not Cool- What happened with Carrie's job.
Very Cool- Getting to spend all this time with her.
Cool- Being invited to Will Aga's birthday party. (Ann's nephew)
Not Cool- Jon and I will both be out of town.
Cool- Jon's team's winning the 3 on 3 league.
Not Cool- The team they beat were no-fun-competitive-hot-heads.
Cool- Hanging out at the Stangl's recently during Strato.
Cool- Using Skype to see Shane and Tisha.
Cool- Having that one nice day last week for a walk outside and a barbeque.
Cool- Taking part the "Dining Out for Life" and eating yummy food at Birchwood.
Cool- Venturing out on a cold afternoon to "crawl" through the St. Paul Art Crawl.
Cool- Getting out of the house to see a really good movie with Carrie and Super.
Cool- Having Jon watch Joe for three hours while I went to the movie. The extra cool part was not coming home to find the house a disaster and Joe wrapped in a newspaper. (he he just kidding Jon)
